As someone who loves spending time outdoors, I grew frustrated with the constant search for "easy" shade. Whether at the beach, pool, water park, resort, or cruise deck the best free shady spots were often already taken. Traditional shade solutions packed out from home were bulky, inconvenient, or simply didn't provide protection where I needed and wanted it most. I knew there had to be a smarter, simpler way to stay cool, comfortable, and protected while enjoying the outdoors, so I set out to invent one.

What began as a solution for comfort became something much more personal.

Two years into my startup journey, I was diagnosed with multiple skin cancers. That experience reinforced the importance of protecting ourselves from damaging UV exposure and strengthened my determination to bring bittaSHADE to market.

Today, our mission is simple: to help people enjoy more time outdoors with greater comfort, confidence, and protection.
